Freebie Early Fall Friday

It's the last gasp of summer. These looked a lot better than they tasted.... a little bit of sugar helped. It's time to forget about fresh peaches and think about chrysanthemums.

Another weekend is here! I am hoping that I will find plenty of time to knit, but who can predict what the interruptions will be? It's high school homecoming weekend, so that is my expected distraction. I thought I was going to Des Moines to a soccer tournament (yes DD has to miss her senior Homecoming Dance - sore subject), but DH wants the honor this time. Am I missing an opportunity for road trip stash enhancement? I'll be going to the next tournament where I hear there are good LYSs.

I did manage to write up the instruction for the belt. I put the link on the sidebar, too, so you can always find it there later.

I hope you all have a great weekend -- fortunately there are no hurricanes to contend with this week.

I already found the pattern on Ravelry and printed it out. Don't have the right yarn or beads, but will keep it in mind for future knitting.

The peaches did look tasty - isn't surprising how looks can be so deceiving. I will be checking with my darling niece to see if she is interested in the belt - either to knit herself or I could knit it for her. She is 6 feet tall and a size 6 (college student), I think it would look spectular on her, perhaps in a brown color with turqoise beads.
